The heat is on for Australia’s top producers. With the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards in its 16th year, healthy competition is rife as the program continues to toast the country’s most flavourful produce and resourceful producers.
The shortlist of state winners were recently revealed, and the results reflect passion, innovation, and resilience. Indeed, not one producer who has made the list has been left unscathed by what has been a tough and exacting year that has included drought, bushfires, Covid-19 and, more recently, floods in New South Wales.
delicious. editorial director, Kerrie McCallum said, “Although the pandemic still presents challenges, this year’s state judging was as exciting as ever. The produce that was tasted across all of the categories was outstanding. Australian producers continue to deliver leading produce.”
The next stage of the awards program will see the State Winners’ produce evaluated by the national judging panel in May, and from there the 2021 Gold Medal Winners, Trophy Winners and other category Award Winners will be announced.
